Matsuda is my hero. He kicks total ass in Death Note chapter 106 and episode 37.
Hence my new lovely icon of him. Teehee. <3

I get the difference between "Watashi ga" and "Watashi wa~~" Hahahaha, finally! And ironically enough, it's all thanks to my Japanese Verbs book. Yeah, go figure that one out. x/ Only my verb book came in the mail today, and when I received it I was seriously confused because I didn't choose some fancy TWO DAY SHIPPING thing. The receipt said something like, "TO ENSURE THAT YOU EXPERIENCE FAST AND EFFICIENT DELIVERY, ONE OF YOUR ITEMS HAS BEEN SHIPPED QUICKLY AND THE OTHER ITEMS WILL FOLLOW AT NO EXTRA COST TO YOU." Seriously. I don't get it. You send one item SUPER fast and the other ones come normally. WHY? What's the point? I'm still going to use Super Saver because I'm broke cheap. D: Jeeze, Amazon.

No more petsitting.. at least for a while, anyway. The neighbors came home today and Lisa received her pay (which she split with me because I helped...a lot). Lisa got 410 dollars for watching Kiki and that crazy-ass doggeh. Nope, I'm not lying. So I got 200. That's pretty freaking awesome, kids. I'm not poor broke anymore! :DDD

HAHAHAHHA, now what shall I spend it on, I wonder..?

Hmmm, so Lisa and I bathed the doggeh today. x]

Went to Parmatown today for the BIG annual Bath & Body Works sale. I used the gift card that Sarah gave to me in March, and to my surprise there was a dollar left. I'm kind of pissed; she gave that card to me because she "got it for Christmas and didn't shop at Bath & Body works." It was a 25 dollar gift card, and I felt bad for getting it for free, but all she said was, "don't worry about it." She could have at least told me she had used most of it (or someone else had and there wasn't much left so don't worry about it!). Sarah really.. gets to me sometimes.

Anyway, I stopped by Borders and picked up a hardcover Beatles photo book...for EIGHT dollars. It was a "bargain" book, and boy was it a bargain. @@ It's so pretty~~ x3 I also picked up THE GREATEST BOOK EVER: MAKING OUT IN JAPANESE. LOLOLOL it has all these slang sayings including insults AND the steps and phrases needed to get to -that certain stage- with a cute Japanese guy or chick. I think everyone needs a copy of this book because it is truly AMAZING. That and, of course, it will become useful someday. ;D

Both Borders and Walden Books didn't have any good Japanese grammar books--only dictionaries. I'm glad I ordered through Amazon. D:

So I ordered three Japanese grammar books from Amazon today. Yeeeup. Recently, I've been inspired to learn Japanese.. all on my own. Well, kind of. I'm going to be bugging naliamegod for help a lot. x] JAPANESE VERBS ARE A BITCHOINZLKQFALKSJFALFJBPLK.

My sister broke our external hard drive. I'm still in shock. Hopefully the grieving process will be over before band camp starts (July 9th--gah). Or that would just be.. awkward. Her nerdy boyfriend, who is currently at computer camp by the way, said she actually broke the port, not the hard drive itself, and -now- it has to become an internal hard drive instead. Both computers will still be able to access the files, but now it's going to be implanted into my sister's laptop. Great.

Hahahaha! I finally did it! New layout feat. the lovely Bealtes! Ohohoho, and aren't they lovely indeed. If you can't tell, the header image is from their Abbey Road album. I've very pleased with this layout. It's my first S2 layout and it came out just snazzy. <3
I think I'm going to get a paid account just because I want more icon space and custom mood themes. Yeeeah.

Comments? Complaints? Not aligned on your resolution? (gonna kick myself if it isn't)

Thank you, xxkamuixx for sending me an LJ nudge. Appreciate it. x3

So what have I been up to? For starters, Lisa and I are petsitting our neighbors' pets. Their dog, Wriggly, is a BEAST. Well, not really, but he's UBER cute and, unfortunately, very hyperactive. Emphasis on the last part. Wriggly's still a puppy and really doesn't know sh*t, um, feces. He -peed- on my friend, and I was soo embarrassed. @@; He's even peed on me at least 2 times. The good news is that we're getting paid 20 dollars a day to take care of this little monster. Yup. You heard me.
Besides Wriggly, they have a reaaaally fat cat named Kiki and three fish. She's just a -sweetheart-. Kiki's very friendly and isn't aggressive in the least bit. She loves to be pet, but if you hold her, she'll squirm around. :/

KikiCollapse )

Yesterday Lisa and I met up with her ex-teacher, Mrs. Reffert, at a Friendlys restaurant like.. right next to B-W college. Last week was hell, and we really needed to talk to someone about Dad. He really upset us that Monday...

Ellen's sister had her baby two days ago (I think), and oh my goodness, he is the cutest little baby I've -ever- seen and I'm not kidding. I'll post some pictures in a friends only post just because I'm not sure the family would appreciate the photos getting around. :/

ColossalCon '07 was a -blast-. Unfortunately only Sam could come because everyone else I invited was busy (Garret, Jackie, Umbreen, Adam, Frenchie). @@ Jenny did show up with Kathy though~ Anyway, we spent hours in the dealer's room. I bought myself two Death Note movie posters, a Tidus keychain, a Japanese umbrella and a fox tail (which I love to pieces~~). For Umbreen, I bought a Tsubasa Chronicles poster with Sakura and Lee, which got a little damaged on its way back home. I hope she won't mind. T____T I really wanted to get a big Yoshi plushie, but I didn't have enough for it. I know I'd feel guilty for spending money on an extremely cute plushie that would do nothing but collect dust in the corner of my room but I DON'T CARE because it was soooo cute~~
Pictures of Con stuff tomorrow. Prolly. I didn't get a chance to take pictures at the con though! I forgot my ancient camera at home~~~ TT__TT After the dealer's room, we sat and watched karaoke and then Sam and I wandered off to go watch the Death Note movie in one of the video rooms, but when we got there people were talking loudly and for some ODD reason the subtitles were in Spanish. Seriously. I don't get that. And of course, we stayed for cosplay, which was.. entertaining. Sid from FFVII was the host again this year (with his MOP!!!1!1! xD) and the co-host from last year was dressed up as Princess Peach.

For any of you Harry Potter fans out there, I'm reading book one. Debra lent it to me literally a year ago, and I haven't even touched it 'til now. xD

And for you GLAY FANS OUT THERE, I have a surprise.. but I'll post that tomorrow. Tee hee.

Gift for you:

Yes, that is the moon and yes, my camera is so ancient it can't even zoom. :(

Now to catch up on everyones' journals. Sorry~! >_<

CIA
Every Junior at Padua Franciscan High School has to shadow someone working in a field that interests them, so today I went downtown with mein Vater to the Cleveland Institute of Art. We got there at 9:30ish for a 10 O' clock tour. Fun stuff. It was me, a really cute girl, an emo kid (lololol) and two other guys who looked like college freshman. The tour took about two hours to complete and we went through three different buildings, but all was good because our tour guide was super uber cute. xD xD xD After the tour, all the other kids went home, while my dad and I went to lunch around noon-ish at a McDonalds about two blocks away from CIA. We ate and pretty much sat around until 2 because I still had to meet with a Senior chick at 2:15 to ask her some questions and fill out a forum. Well, the girl never showed up, and the office felt really bad about it so they gave me a free T-shirt. xDDD So I guess it was worth it? I mean, free T-shirt dude. 8D

I suppose overall the whole experience was helpful a bit. I got to see some students working in different areas of art, and I kind of separated some of it into things I'm interested in and things I don't want to do. For example, weaving, making jewelry, sculptures and films isn't the thing for me. >___>

tarouchan, I would really like to talk to you sometime! I'm hoping you might give me some insight on what it's like working at an art college and the different fields there are. There are just so mannnyyyy I can't choose just one~~ >___________<

I'm excited. I really want to have a career in this kind of stuff.
